Thesis procedure

An overview of the process from topic selection to assessment.

This overview summarises the MLS procedure. Use the official guide and your study programme’s requirements when preparing documents and confirming deadlines.

  1. Find a topic

    Check C@mpus for available topics and follow the application instructions.

  2. Prepare a proposal

    Agree on the question, methods, and schedule with your supervisor. Obtain approval before registration.

  3. Complete the documents

    Arrange the thesis contract, licence agreement, registration form, and any language agreement with the secretariat.

  4. Register the thesis

    Submit the signed form to the Examination Office. Confirm the deadline in your registration.

  5. Conduct the research

    Meet your supervisor regularly. The MLS procedure requests a draft and a colloquium presentation one month before submission.

  6. Submit

    Follow the official requirements for the printed copy, PDF, abstracts, declarations, and documentation of AI use.

  7. Assessment

    The examiners assess the thesis; the grade is recorded in C@mpus. Publication depends on consent and eligibility.
