Research
Luay Mualam works on optimization and the algorithmic foundations of machine learning. His publications develop approximation guarantees for submodular optimization, where selecting useful combinations of items is central. More recent collaborative work investigates how symmetries can be incorporated into generative models that produce molecular structures in a single step.
